Loewe Individual: pure original
Tags: loewe, model, definition, range
Loewe is set to launch the 'Individual' range of LCD TVs this month, and they're the company's snazziest yet. The £1,700 26-inch LCDs come in a range of colours, and have removable side panels that can be swapped as easily as a mobile phone cover. The 32-inch model retails for £2,250, the panels around £60 a pair, and if you want a classy cream finish for either models, that'll be an extra £200.
The Individual range might seem pricy, but it's not too bad by Loewe's usually high standards. Tech-heads will be relieved that the screens are high-definition compatible and fitted with an HDMI video input. Loewe TVs have always been highly customisable, and the company continues this trend by offering an 80GB internal hard drive for an extra £300.
As befits a native German, the company put on an impressive show at Berlin's IFA, with a large selection of high-definition TVs and new speaker systems on display. Loewe also showed off a concept collaboration with Swarovski crystals, making a Loewe Individual TV that will appeal to the Elton John in us all. Indeed, Loewe wouldn't even tell us how much this model would cost. Needless to say, the Loewe Individual perfectly complements Crave's understated good taste, so we'll be badgering the company incessantly until it coughs up a TV with diamonds on it. -GC
