Crave plays David Dickinson with the Relisys RLT2000

If prices carry on falling, at this rate you'll find an LCD TV in your Coco Pops by the end of the year. Far Eastern manufacturers are cutting prices savagely, which means real bargains are to be found. The Relisys RLT2000, the PC manufacturer's brand new 20-inch LCD TV, costs less than £350 if you shop online.
We can hear you ask, "But is it a Bobby Dazzler?" so we got one in to scrutinise. First off, it has an aspect ratio of 4:3, which makes it rubbish for movie playback. Plus, if we're going to be particularly harsh, the limited resolution means it's no good for high-definition viewing. However, you don't buy a Fiesta and expect it to keep up with a Ferrari, and there's no reason why this shouldn't be a perfectly usable basic telly for a bedroom.
Relisys, a new manufacturer on the AV block, has also shown some generosity. They've cleverly designed the screen with a distinctive bump for the controls, and our resident AV gurus tell us that the component inputs will be enough to provide you with a picture that's smoother than a German's penalty technique.
We'll be giving the Relisys a thorough going over very soon, and we'll let you know if you should clear some space in your guest bedroom… -GC
