Office 2010 preview: More screenshots than you can possibly want

The technical preview of Microsoft's upcoming office suite, the logically monikered Office 2010, isn't set for release until July. But it has made its way on to the Web, apparently on Friday.
CNET UK's sister site ZDNet Australia captured screenshots of the build by installing the leaked preview in a virtualised VMware instance on top of Windows XP Service Pack 3. Our enterprising colleague Renai LeMay could have installed the suite on top of the release candidate of Windows 7, but wanted to see how Office 2010 would work without the latest operating system sitting underneath it.
The answer, it turns out, is 'just fine'.
In our first of a whopping 30 scintillating Office 2010 screenshots, you can see the flashy new starting animation. Click through for even more productivity excitement.

It is this sort of in depth technical review from the best investigative journalists in the technology world that truly sets CNET apart. I have been holding my breath for literally about 0.5 of a second waiting to catch the first glimpses of the EULA screen and the installation progress bar.
