YouTube managers knew about copyright violations, say Viacom lawyers

Lawyers working on Viacom's $1bn lawsuit against YouTube have found evidence of a rather cavalier attitude to copyright material, CNET News' Greg Sandoval reports. Emails discovered during preparation for the case allegedly reveal that managers at the Google-owned video-sharing site not only knew unauthorised material had been posted, but discussed it and in some cases even uploaded such content themselves.
