Since we don't know what all the 200 new features in iOS 6,we can't compare.
And if you want to compare 8 features we know in iOS 6,here it is-
1) Siri- See Siri advancements(Book movie tickets, book restaurants, find them, ask anything about your favourite sport, tweet by speaking/update FB status by speaking, ask weather, ask any questions, eyes free,Siri is much more international and etc etc)Android is not even near.
2)Facebook integration in iOS 6 is far far better than on any Android phones present.
3)Passbook is far far better, easy and simple than Google wallet which is present in limited countries and carriers. It automatically pops up with our tickets and passes when we reach respective places(Android where are you?)
4)Phone app advancements(Remind me later,Do not disturb etc) are way better than androids.Remind me later is just fantastic.
5)Facetime over cellular is just awesome. Android users have to use third-party apps but not the case for apple. Also, they unified our Apple ID and phone number,so we can pick up facetime call/iMessage on any other iDevice too(where is android?)
6)Safari Advancements(iCloud tabs feature is just awesome,Smart App banners too is a very good feature for developers having websites, upload photos from safari to websites, sharing options to our favourite places, full screen support on landscape on iPhone and etc etc). Where is android's unnamed browser?
7)Shared photostreams(No such feature on android without those sucking third-party apps) lets you share photos to your friends, allows comments,it is visible to everyone(Windows etc etc),over airplay etc etc.
8)Mail enhancements(VIPs&Flagged inboxes, notification for VIP&Flagged messages right on the lockscreen and notification centre, insert photos and videos very easily in mail, pull to refresh, open password protected office docs and etc etc.)
9)Guided Access(Really helpful which is not in android).
10)Maps app of Apple is far far more beautiful, easy to use and has many better features than current Google Maps app.Flyover is just and just awesome.
11)Other features like custom vibrations(Android have but with sucking 3rd-party apps),iPhone hearing aid,Lost Mode(Improved feature in Find my iPhone, android, where are you?), redesigned stores(were already better than google play),improved privacy features, more sharing options for each app(not currently on android),Personal dictionary in iCloud, per account signatures in mail,Game Center improvements(Android?),Global network proxy for HTTP,features for China, location based remainders for iPad,fastest javascript on the planet(safari,Android?) and much more...
Without the actual release,it is beating android, with actual release, what will it do?Think.............
The world's most advance mobile OS(Apple is right)@@
Apple rocks!
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING-
iOS already offered a lot and much better than android, but with iOS 6,Apple has given developers a classic gifr.
See the APIs available for developers to use in making apps for iOS 6-
Audio&Video sampling during playback,Passkit,CSS Sheets,Voiceover gestures,Control camera focus&exposure,Action sheet,Web audio kit,Remainders,Game center in app experience,Video stabilization,Game groups,Transit apps,Face-Detection API,Map kit,Frame drop data,Audio Layout,In-App content purchases,Collection views,Facebook integration,Multi-route audio and a lot more........Where is android?

well!! well!! another Iphone donkey shouting from their heart :)
you are talking like you are using IOS6 from ages lol.
anonymous 15 June, 2012 18:49
Are you still forced to use itunes - Apple where are you?
This guy never used an android device or he wouldn't spread so much crap... half of the stuff he is talking about is part of android from the very beginning and is handled very nicely. Ios cant even multitask properly. Imo android is similar to a desktop os where as ios is a simple mobile os. Its too restrictive and closed and for me its just boring. It is good for older people or people clueless about tech however... anyway, each to their own.

how sad must you be to type a post as long as that, supporting iOS6. You gotta admire the dedication of these isheep.

Oh good ol' iSheeps. What would the world be without these morons....a better one for sure. Everything iOS 6 is about catching up to Android. Android 4.0 ICS is leaps and bounds ahead of iOS 6 and its better in every way. iSheeps are what keeps Apple filthy rich and their stupidity is what gathers more sheeps. So glad i switched to Android from iOS. Never looked back.

Strikes me it's still horses for courses. If you like to be able to customise you phone, make it look and act just like you want, use the apps you prefer rather than the ones you are give, then Android is for you. If you like a simple, intuitive but restrictive OS then iOs is for you. Actually, now I think of it, if that's your bag then a Lumia with windows would be best for you!!
Being slightly more serious - I do think iOS and the iPhone in general are looking a little dated for the 1st time. Personally I prefer android - largely because I like to fiddle about with my devices. But I've had a chance to use a Galaxy S3 for a few days and for the 1s time, if I ignore my preference for customising,, I still can't think of a single reason why I'd take an iPhone in preference. Well.....maybe the app store but then again, who can REALLY say they can tell the difference between 500,000 apps and 250,000?

So you compare IOS6 and Android which quite biased.
"1) Siri- See Siri advancements"
- which currently works on specific location. I find it useful 10% of the time.
"2)Facebook integration in iOS 6 is far far better than on any Android phones present".
- are you kidding, integration with other apps and sharing data inter-apps is strength of android.. though tweeter and facebook is integrated to IOS 6, there are more social apps are AUTOMATICALLY integrated to the system when you install it. so you don't have to install/use fb or tweeter feature if you don't use or need those.
"3)Passbook is far far better, easy and simple than Google wallet which is present in limited countries and carriers. -"
-though tickets and stubs are good feature, but on google wallet it act as a "wallet".. so you don't have to use geolocation and reminders.. all you have to do is swipe your android device because it uses NFC, which is software and hardware advancement
"4)Phone app advancements(Remind me later,Do not disturb etc) are way better than androids."
- on android, just turn over your phone and it automatically set to silent and flip it over again and it switch to previous setting. sms or callback reminder is already available on android.
"5)Facetime over cellular is just awesome"
- because android is open source and doesn't want closed communication, skype is current one of the best VIOP out there. its already available to all platform even on pc, mac, win, ios, and android, because phone is used for communication and should not be limited to one device communication only. though the integration of number and apple id is great it requires cooperation with the telco. and VIOP over 3g is out way way way back. even on pre-ios, pre-android era.
"6)Safari Advancements"
- iCloud tabs - there is an app called chrome sync that will do that
- Smart App banners - this is good, but usually android and ios currently tells you this via pop up
- upload photos - this is good
- sharing options to our favourite places - I don't get the point of this, you could just use foursquare, and I don't find it interesting to share where I am everytime.
- full screen support on landscape - fullscreen support is available on android, even on portrait.
"7)Shared photostreams"
- its available on android if you download G+, it will automatically upload your photo on g+ and you have a choice to share it later. (though I don't use this feature).
"8)Mail enhancements"
- ok this is something interesting, but regarding the video and image attachment its already available on android way way back.
"9)Guided Access(Really helpful which is not in android). "
- its available on android, though you don't have to fiddle on settings to do it. android allow developer to do it within the app,so you don't have to go to settings everytime you will have your phone to small kids. I also like to mention that I find IOS lacking of against-toddler security. which allow you to put passcode for restricted app or an app that will not allow toddler to leave.
"10)Maps app of Apple is far far more beautiful, easy to use and has many better features than current Google Maps app.Flyover is just and just awesome."
- I have to agree in this one, but I dont dig to much on 3d stuff, the one i like is the turn by turn navigation, I just hope its available worldwide.
"11)Other features like custom vibrations(Android have but with sucking 3rd-party apps)"
- Redesigned store - on android you could use computer via internet to install apps via google play without touching your phone, and it will not take you out of the store everytime you need to download an apps.
- iPhone hearing aid,Lost Mode - I never use this and I don't you are using this too.
- improved privacy features - private mode browsing is already available on android even before IOS implemented it.
- more sharing options for each app(not currently on android) - after you install the an app it is "AUTOMATICALLY" integrated and added to sharing option.
- Game Center - this is great.
- for other IOS feature, yeah I could say they are implemented at best. but still limited on my opinion.
for SDK - android SDK is available for free, yes its free.
I am using IPhone and your argument is invalid

Haha the person who wrote the first comment needs a life! I think you have a serious problem, nobody should be get that angry about something like this.
anonymous 17 June, 2012 20:06
I do wonder if some of these comments (specifically the first one) are written by CNET to try and spark comments on their pages... because I really can't believe such people exist..

What a bunch load of crappola the first post is. The flagship feature (if you may) of iOS 6 - Apple Maps is truly underbaked.
"Looks beautiful" is not what I will expect of a navigation app - it needs to be useful. Apple Maps looks "beautiful" by giving incomplete information.
