If you're quick off the mark and ready to commit to an 18-month contract, you could get hold of the white HTC Desire by next week.
Carphone Warehouse will receive stock of the white HTC Desire on Friday 1 October. You can pre-order it now from the phone vendor's Mobiles.co.uk website. As we previously reported, the white Desire will sport a Super LCD instead of AMOLED display, due to supply issues.
The silver HTC Wildfire is also available for pre-order, but no date has been given as to when it will be in stock.
Both of these phones are exclusively available through Carphone Warehouse, on all five networks. There's an array of both 18- and 24-month deals for these phones on 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone. You can get either phone for free on a £25-per-month, 24-month contract. There are also options to upgrade.
Even though we're getting ready for the release of the HTC Desire HD, the original Desire is still a great smart phone that's worth a look. The white Desire could also be well worth a gander if you can't wait any longer for a white iPhone 4.
The white Desire and silver Wildfire will only be available on contract, so hard luck if you want them unlocked.
