Details have emerged on a follow-up to Samsung's brilliant Galaxy S2 smart phone. Inventively dubbed the Galaxy S3, it could pack a 4.6-inch screen and a 1.8GHz processor.
Specs of the new phone appear to have been leaked to Android site Phandroid, as part of what is reportedly one slide from an internal Samsung Mobile presentation. But unlike most PowerPoint affairs, this presentation is actually rather interesting, as it shows off what could be Samsung's newest flagship phone.
Take this with a pinch of salt, but the slide lists a stonkingly powerful 12-megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM to boot. As if that wasn't enough, it looks as though the S3 could have a different shape, ditching the S2's squarish look in favour of something a little more rounded at the top and bottom. Phandroid's sources reckon it'll be thinner than the S2 to boot.
The five tray icons on the front of the blurry S3 graphic would also indicate that it will run Ice Cream Sandwich, the new version of Android that was supposed to be launched today, but which has been postponed as a mark of respect for the late Steve Jobs.
While these details on the S3 appear, we're still waiting on another Samsung effort, the Galaxy Nexus, which is set to be Google's newest flagship phone, following the Nexus S, and the first mobile running Ice Cream Sandwich.
We'll be keeping an eye out for more Galaxy S3 news -- if more concrete evidence appears hinting it will be out fairly soon, that could be reason to not buy the Galaxy Nexus, and to wait for the S3 instead.
Exciting times for mobiles -- let us know what you think in the comments section below, or on our Facebook page.

"Funny how no one says anything about the fact Sumsung releases a Galaxy phone every year." true..but they tend to keep pace with modern technology when they do release new devices rather than technology from 3 years ago.

Clearly a fake image. Why are you publishing this?

The 4212 has just been announced with only 1.5Ghz dual core, so I think this is a faked up image, and the text looks wrong and different to the rest of it, like someone has photoshopped it and tried to make it look similar.....

Sour iOS LOSERS!

s3's most prob coming with a quad core as what ive been hearing a lot these specs are pretty false except for the 12mp camera and the 2gb ram but they will have a 1.5ghz quad core. and as for the Ios fan boy on top people dont complain because samsung doesnt sell the same device it actually improves it tremendously! apple has used the same proc for the last 2-3 years on iphones, display, screen size, and pretty much the OS. so there you go now go buy an android and look what a real phone is.

I think the bigger offense besides the typo "Copiying" is the cut-out images :p
12MP on such a small sensor would actually make it a worse camera. I know bigger numbers are better for marketting but a bigger sensor with anti-shake while staying at 8MP would be more beneficial to image quality.

'Private internal presentation'
Why on earth would you write that if you where actually having a private internal presentation, everyone in it would already know. The only reason you would write that is if it were fake and you wanted people to give people looking at it some context.
If you want I'll knock up a thing about the Galaxy 4 on paint and write 'Super secret do not tell anyone about this because it is so secret and we don't want anyone to know about it' on and maybe you can publish that?
It has a 14GHz processor and is 3D as well as a 2 inch screen (yeah I know, but small screens are all the rage in the future) and Google Voice Actions now talks for you during phone calls.
