Samsung's poking fun at Apple fans again, with a new ad for the Galaxy Note, aired during this big sporting event in America called the Superb Owl, whatever that is.
The ad shows a bunch of glum Apple fans waiting in line for a new gadget, before a Samsung Galaxy Note owner walks past and causes the Cupertino loyalists to lose faith, bursting through the barriers and breaking into song upon seeing the Note's gigantic AMOLED screen and, er, stylus.
The ad is pretty daft, and tech fans who follow the battle between Samsung and Apple will only really get a kick out of the first bit, which features a few decent lines like, "Samsung... again?!" and one confused gadgeteer musing, "I don't know what I believe in any more."
The ad craftily never mentions Apple by name, but the target of Samsung's fun-poking ads is obvious -- we've spent enough time queuing for Apple products to know when a group of fans is being lampooned, and the shop the fans are lining up in front of is highly Apple-esque.
This isn't the first time Samsung's poked fun at the iPhone crowd -- an earlier ad saw a similar bunch of trendysomethings waiting in line, only to have their minds changed by the Galaxy S2.
Samsung may be mocking Apple over the airwaves, but the real battle takes place on the high street, where Apple is winning hands-down. Samsung has confirmed it won't be showing off its much-anticipated Galaxy S3 at Mobile World Congress at the end of the month, instead choosing to debut its new flagship at a separate event.
Very Apple-esque if you ask us (which you did, implicitly, by hanging around on our website). But does Samsung have the strength to tilt with Apple? Or will the iPhone 5 leave all other mobiles in the dust? And is that really The Darkness' Justin Hawkins (we think so)? Tell us in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.

So whats a "trendysomething"? An Apple product owner?? My Granddad will be so pleased haha!
Apple users are ripe for the taking when it comes down to it, only a complete muppet would queue outside a shop overnight for a product!

Poor Samsung, i love their TV's but they wish people queued up for their phones....Apple still dominating.

Poor Samsung *pats on head* im sure some people would line up for your weird inbetween a tablet and a phone device. Look it even has a pen like a palm computer from the 90s. Silly apple actually making useful devices that people want

The worst thing about this ad, aside from how it openly mocks apple users, is that it's got a few of my favorite people in it: Justin Hawkins, P-Rod, and Miranda Kerr. Samsung may not be able to make good, original devices, but they sure do know how to get some big names in their ads.

I can't imagine whats it like being a isheep, you have to wait in the wind for apple to release their next phone, regardless of its spec.

Typical Android Boys, joking at something you're scared of, yet still unable to touch!
Anyway isn't a touch screen supposed to be touched? If I wanted a stylus I'd still be using a PDA!
At least we can't accuse you of copying Apple products anymore. Sir Jonathan Ive could NEVER design something so ugly. Samsung are going back to basics... What next...? Brick phones again?
Never mind Boys stick to your fantasies and I'll keep my iPhone

All those different phones and still can't compete with Apple's one. When could you ever produce a Phone so desirable that people would queue overnight for it. Stick to what you're good at.... Making TVs.
Looks like you'll have some competition on that front soon too!!! :) Suckkas

It's a matter of time before Samsung overtakes Apple completely.
One of the great points about Samsung is that we are offered a variety of choices. I think Apple is incapable on that front.

Android fanboys celebrating because of an advert for a huge phone with a stylus. Damn that's funny

"Typical Android Boys, joking at something you're scared of, yet still unable to touch!"
Android is outselling iPhone at the moment and for the last two quarters. iPhone's sales are actually dropping.

Getting sick of this from Cnet. Genuinely good advert but cos its against Apple n samsung r actually challenging them its made out as nothing.
If this was an apple ad there would be a nice paragraph stating the importance of the superbowl n bla bla bla bout apples greatness

I'm a total android fan but i do genuinaly agree that apple products are made with a far better quality.
The iPhone 4s for example has a quality finish & smooth os, its just so outdated. Android moves foward & is then attacked by apple for doing so. And the product hardly decreases in cost, even after its become old and stale. Speed up apple or just move out of the way & let android get on with it.
By the way i admit the Note has got be some sort of joke. The size is pathetic. I want a phone, or whatever the divice is supposed to be, to be able fit in my pocket, not a back pack.

That's great, but did you actually ever use a Note. Use one, then tell me if you still feel the same way.

Errm. Maybe some people on here need to get a life, such strong passionate comments about a mobile phone. Apple make phones so do Samsung there's room for both and we don't need to hate each other or the company that has made a TV commercial just promoting their product.
Yes they are poking fun at those sad morons who wait outside the apple store overnight...let's get it in perspective...that IS really pathetic!
I have had an iphone for years, i loved it at the time, when it was launched there was nothing like it. Now i am bored with the iphone i have decided that i want a change so last week i bought the Samsung Galaxy Note, and guess what folks...i love that to.
Some people (Radders) are making out as if we're talking about Israel and Palestine. Jeeze!!

Not at all mate, people just need to have respect for for those that not only set the standard, but continue to lead the standard. I would switch if the phone was bette but it's not.
I have a Samsung TV, which is the market leader, but you only have to look at Apple's pedigree in new products to tell its the market leader! If its not when the TV comes out, I'm big enough to eat my words!
