Photos: Sony Ericsson unveils the W880i, K810i and others

Today Sony Ericsson announced nine new phones and put us out of our misery by finally unveiling the W880i Walkman phone. To date, Sony Ericsson has sold about 20 million Walkman phones and 4.5 million Cyber-shot phones. When asked what it thought about the incoming iPhone, the company responded by saying "we've been here for a lot longer".

Fortunately, time isn't the only thing Sony Ericsson has on its side. The W880i (pictured) is an attractive new Walkman phone that comes in a metal casing and features 3G connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and an expandable memory slot (M2). At only 9.4mm thin it slips nicely into a pocket, and is Sony Ericsson's thinnest phone to date.

It will be in UK shops very soon and is set to be available globally.
