Nokia Prodigy and AC/DC are Windows Phone prototypes

Hell's bells! Nokia is on the highway to hell with two prototype Windows Phones, codenamed the AC/DC and the Prodigy.

Nokia's two rockin' Windows Phone devices are expected to go on tour later in the year when Windows Phone 8 arrives on stage.

The Prodigy is reported to be a high-end Windows Phone -- perhaps capable of taking your brain to another dimension, so pay close attention. Whether it'll be an equal to the current headliner on the Nokia Lumia bill, the Nokia Lumia 900, or will be an even more powerful firestarter remains to be seen. Everybody in the place -- let's phone!

The AC/DC is set to be a mid-range phone, probably coming in lots of colours -- including back in black. It'll accompany the Nokia Lumia 800 in the middle of the Lumia range, with the Nokia Lumia 710 and Nokia Lumia 610 at the bottom of the bill.

The two phones are coming to US phone network AT&T, The Verge reports, but there's no word yet on when they'll rock out in Europe. The powerful 4.3-inch Lumia 900 is expected to arrive in May.

The next version of Windows Phone is currently known as Apollo. Windows Phone 8 will tie in closely with Windows 8 for your computer, potentially sharing apps.

The full-sized Windows 8 for your computer shares the colourful squares of its phone-based counterpart, and will work on tablets too.
