Stone the crows: the Google Nexus 4 is still on sale! It looks like Google and LG have finally sorted the stock problems that have plagued the bargain-tastic Android phone since day one.
The Nexus 4 has been on sale from online store Google Play for a mere matter of hours since it launched in November, selling out almost instantly on the first day and on the other brief occasions it returned to sale. But having returned to Google Play yesterday the phone is still on sale today -- perhaps the longest uninterrupted period in stock -- and what's more the delivery date is holding steady at 1-2 weeks.
Incidentally, we're sure the fact that the Nexus 4 returned to Google Play at the exact same time as BlackBerry 10 was announced is complete coincidence.
LG, which builds the Nexus 4, and Google, which created the software, blame each other for the recent stock shortages. Google says LG's supply has been erratic, but LG says it's just made as many as Google asked for, and claims the big G disastrously underestimated the demand.
After all, how could Google possibly foresee that a high-end quad-core smart phone with the latest Jelly Bean software for £240 would be phenomenally popular. You'd have to be some kind of psychic!
The 8GB Nexus 4 costs £240 and the 16Gb model costs £280. You can buy two of each at a time.
Have you bagged a Nexus 4 this time, or is there another phone that's better value? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.

Google Play store in Spain is already out of stock. Only 10 minutes available this time. Good job Google!
So, I wouldn't say they have sorted out their stock problems. Not yet.

Even last time it was available for I think something like two days, its just that the delivery estimate went up to up to 7-8 weeks in the end. Looks like it is now much better, as it still is at 1-2 weeks, but its not yet the longest time available, i don't think so.

How can a stock problem be solved when it says 1-2 weeks as estimated, if the stock was available then it wouldn't take THAT long surely! And then they charge the 2 day delivery on top!
Regardless, I have ordered one at 3:04 yesterday, order status is still pending though.....

Why would you buy 5 to sell on eBay when they are coming back in stock? Not to mention we will soon be hearing about HTCs 2013 flagship so demand will go down.
