As part of its rekindled love for the mobile world, you can now watch BBC One, Two, Three and Four, among others, live on your mobile phone, along with BBC Radios One to Seven and the Asian Network.
You'll need to be using Wi-Fi, as the service will not work over 3G, and you will of course need to be a UK licence-fee payer. The Beeb says it is hoping to make 3G viewing possible in the future, along with subtitling. (Seriously? Subtitles on a 176x144-pixel video? Huh. Fair enough.)
Anyway, for now it seems that only a very limited set of phones are currently supported by the new live service, and our Nokia N95, E51 and iPhone all failed to load the broadcasts. PC Pro advises that the Nokia N96 and 5800 XpressMusic phones are supported, and we'll be testing this very soon.
Certain programmes will not not be available to view live on a mobile, such as sports coverage. This is due to restrictions placed on the BBC from the rights-holders.
