The HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio is one of the best phones we've seen in the past year -- and it just got better. Asda is offering the XE ready to update to Ice Cream Sandwich and packing a free pair of sweet Beats headphones for £330.
Why are we telling you this? Firstly, because the XE is one hell of a phone. We awarded it a nigh-unheard of four and half CNET stars and a highly-coveted Editors' Choice Award. But even better than that, your £330 also gets you a pair of Dr Dre-designed Beats headphones.
The headphones are the Monster iBeats by Dr Dre, which cost around £80 if bought separately. The phone also has Beats software included to boost the sound, making the bass, er, phatter.
The Sensation XE is has a giant 4.3-inch display fronting its sturdy aluminium unibody casing. Inside there's a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with 4GB of internal storage for your movies and music, apps and snaps.
The XE also packs a full high-definition video camera and stereo sound recording.
And there's more. The phone comes with Android Gingerbread version 2.3.4 software when you buy it -- but an update to the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich is already available. So the first thing you can do when you fire up the XE is upgrade to brand-spanking new Ice Cream Sandwich. Tasty.
All this for more than £100 off the original price when the Sensation XE went on sale less than a year ago. Amazon also sells the XE for around £330, but as we understand it that's without the iBeats headphones.
Do you own an XE? How do you like it? Are you tempted to bag yourself an XE today -- or is £330 still too much for a phone? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.

good price!
(but if you plan to root or install custom roms on your device DO NOT update to ICS when you first get it.)
It's a real pain and makes it much more difficult.

It's a good deal if you want the headphones and a great phone as I have one but if you don't want the headphones then you can get the HTC One S for £360 which is only £30 more.

I've had the Sensation XE for a couple of months now and it's definitely an awesome phone.
ICS has a couple of glitches but nothing that detracts from the overall experience. It's a comfortable size and powerful enough to handle anything I need it to do (as well as a lot more that I wouldn't have thought to throw at it!).
Photos, music, video, navigation, games, calendars, social, email, work and it's a great phone too :-)
I'd recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, I'm not thinking of changing to anything. I've got myself a 3600mah [HLI-Z710EXL] extended battery for it, a car cradle...too much money spent on one phone to think about another one.

Where did you get the battery?

The battery is on the internet, costs $99 just Google HLI-Z710EXL . You can get high capacity batteries off Amazon, not as potent as 3600 mAh though!
My partner has bought this phone from Asda for my birthday. I can't wait to get my hands on it! :-)
