HTC Sensation will come to O2, Orange and T-Mobile this June

Vodafone may have an exclusive on the new HTC Sensation Android smart phone when it launches in May, but all the major networks will jump on the bandwagon in June, including O2, Orange and T-Mobile.

O2 told us today that it will sell the phone, but doesn't have any details yet. Orange and T-Mobile's parent company, Everything Everywhere, told Pocket-lint that the two operators will start selling the Sensation in June, although there are no details yet on pricing and tariffs, nor has a specific date been confirmed.

The news follows yesterday's announcement by Three that it will also be offering the Sensation in summer this year, which could point to a June release on that network too. We do like to think of June as summer, even if it does rain cats and dogs.

We're still awaiting a price from Vodafone, which on its website merely lists the Sensation as 'coming soon' with a button to register for updates -- the pre-order process hasn't kicked off yet. As it only has the Sensation to itself for a matter of weeks, it's in Voda's interest to keep the price competitive.

The handset, unveiled yesterday by HTC, is certainly hotly anticipated. It has a whopping 4.3-inch, 540x960-pixel touchscreen with a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio, and a rounded aluminium case that makes it feel smaller than the HTC Desire HD.

A dual-core, 1.2GHz processor gives the phone plenty of grunt. It will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the latest version of Google's Android software, and will also have an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video.

On top of that sits the Sense 3.0 user interface, which offers whizzy 3D animations. The device will also mark the debut of HTC's new Watch video service, which will offer films and TV shows for rental and purchase, and also provide competition for Apple's iTunes.

Excellent hands-on review. I'm feeling the Sensation alright! Though I'm gonna' have to wait till June until it's available on T-Mobile

i guess ill get it for under £300, a quick google search brings you htc hd7's for £300, so why not?

my iphone just died, i was pretty disappointed with it as it has always been cra[, but just letting go- it was pretty crap, the screen size, camera and 1080p video is just some of the things that make me want this phone so bad, hopefully i will be able to find it through google for sub £300-ish.
