Breaking open the Apple iPhone 3G

With the main PCB removed, we got to see the iPhone 3G's battery. The original iPhone's battery was soldered to the main PCB (via a wire). Thankfully, Apple abandoned this concept with the iPhone 3G (the iPhone 3G's battery connects to the main PCB via four contact points). The Apple part number of the battery is 616-0372.
