BlackBerry's hybrid touchscreen: Good for poking and stroking

Our diligent, sharp-eyed colleagues at ZDNet UK have spotted a patent application by BlackBerry-maker RIM for a hybrid type of touchscreen. Part capacitive, part resistive, it aims to have its tactile cake and eat it -- so you can use your finger for quick texting or a stylus for more delicate tasks.
