The best Android apps

AndFTP

You'll probably need to be a massive geek to appreciate this, but having a File Transfer Protocol app on your phone is possibly the most awesome use of technology ever. If you don't know what FTP is, then this free app really isn't for you, but, suffice to say, if you need to upload files to a Web server on the go, AndFTP is really useful.

We use it to download our purchased MP3s from a central location to whatever machine we're using at the time, meaning that we're never without a copy of Girls Aloud's Untouchable. It also means we can back up files from our Android handset while we're on the go.

The only problem with this app is that it can sometimes be prone to crashing. Our fingers are crossed, though, that updates should help improve this situation, because this really is the pinnacle of awesome.
