CES 2009

At international consumer tradeshow CES, mobile-device maker The Medical Phone showed off the Icephone -- the world's first tri-panel handset.

As well as two keyboards, built-in GPS and a 3-megapixel camera, the phone comes with software for storing medical records and a full, on-screen first-aid kit. The device is being pitched as a smart phone that may save lives.

In the US, the device is expected to be available in the second or third quarter of this year, for below $1,000 (£670). No UK pricing or availability has yet been announced.
