HTC S740: Good smart phones can come in small packages
When HTC first ventured into the realm of smart phones that looked like normal phones, we scoffed, because they simply weren't up to the company's usual high standards. We thought that if you wanted a real smart phone experience, you needed something that looked like a smart phone -- but things have changed.
The HTC S740 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard and packs some truly impressive features, but it comes in a package that won't stretch your trousers. The S740 boasts GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, a 3.2-megapixel camera and best of all, a slide-out Qwerty keypad so you can quickly type out long emails.
On the front of the S740 there's a standard keypad for dialling and the odd quick text, which alongside the powerhouse of features makes this a relatively compact phone. You'll have to contain your excitement until September, but it'll most likely be available on most of the major networks for free on a monthly contract. -Andrew Lim
