Philips SHB6102: Smashing stereo Bluetooth headphones
Tags: philips, bluetooth, connect, headphones
There's nothing more annoying than getting your headphone cables tangled up or losing the headphone adaptor for your mobile phone. Enter the Philips SHB6102 Bluetooth headphones, which might solve your mobile music woes.
These stylish headphones allow you to listen to your music and answer calls wirelessly over Bluetooth. You can pair them with your stereo Bluetooth (A2DP)-enabled phone, or alternatively use the provided 3.5mm adaptor.
The adaptor lets you connect these headphones to any device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, which means you can connect them to your old Walkman cassette player, CD player or even your TV.
We found being able to connect them to a TV really useful, since it meant we could watch our favourite shows -- MacGyver, NCIS and Avatar -- in bed, without annoying anyone else. Good times.
The phone hands-free feature worked well too, cutting out the music and letting us answer calls without needing to take the headphones off or touch our mobile phones. The SHB6102 feature controls on them that let you answer and reject calls, adjust the volume and control music on certain devices.
Our only niggle with the SHB6102 is the price tag -- at around £100 they're relatively cheap, but still a bit steep for some mobile music fans. Hopefully, the price will come down in time. -Andrew Lim

I have to agree with this - they are excellent - light weight, comfortable, and superb sound. These are my fourth pair of bluetooth headphones - they tend to get a lot of misuse (although the Sonorix ones went back within a week) and they are light-years away from the others. The price may be slightly steeper, but you pay for what you get. Only had them a day and I am not going to part with them.

To the anonymous who lost yr adaptor - YES the headphones will still pair with any bluetooth device. You should still be able to use them with your phone, or with your computer if it has a bluetooth adaptor.

I think the TV itself actually decides to turn off the main speakers rather than the headphones when ou plug them in. I dont beleive you will find these unless you find a tv that does this.

Look good, but nobody, even Philips themselves, actually sell these. Philips customer services have never heard of them, makes you wonder if they're a fig leaf, but as they've been reviewed here, there must be at least one pair in existence. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a pair of these headphones, please let me know.
