Mobile Phones

It's coming up to Christmas soon and if you're planning on having a Christmas tree at home you're going to need decorations. But why settle for the usual mess of baubles and tinsel? Why not decorate your tree with these festively shiny clamshell mobile phones?

First up (from left to right) is the Motorola Krzr K1. The K1 comes with a 2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), a music player that supports AAC, MP3 and AAC+ formats and a microSD slot.

The K1 measures 44mm wide by 103mm tall by 16mm deep and weighs 103g. It's currently available for free on a monthly contract.

Next up is the Sony Ericsson Z610i, which features a 2-megapixel camera, 3G connectivity, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), a Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot and music player that supports AAC, MP3, AAC+ and eAAC+ formats. It also has an external OLED screen that creates a floating-text effect, as seen on the Sony NW-E003 MP3 player.

It measures 49mm wide by 94mm tall by 20mm deep and weighs 110g. It's currently available for free on a monthly contract and comes in a range of colours, including black, blue and pink.

Last up is the LG KG810, which is the Chocolate phone's folding cousin. It features a 1.3-megapixel camera, touch-sensitive music buttons on the outside, an FM radio and 256MB of on-board memory.

It measures 47mm wide by 92mm tall by 15mm deep and weighs 86g. It's currently available for free on a monthly contract.

Okay, so these might be a little expensive to put on a tree, but they'll definitely make good presents to put under one -- shiny-loving rellies will go nuts. Expect full reviews of all of them soon. -AL

Update: a full review of the Motorola Krzr K1 is now live.
