Lock up your CF cards, the Ti fighter just rolled into town. What USB peripheral wouldn't want to stick itself in this? It's a 3.8GHz Pentium 4 gaming machine with a score to settle against the Alienware Area 51. What's this fighter's name? On the streets we call him the rockdirect Xtreme Ti.
Packed into the same chassis as the Alienware, the Xtreme Ti is in the unique position of bearing the face of its arch enemy. Like feuding twins, the two are destined to battle it out in our testing labs. The Area 51 has already won us over and we're intrigued by how its doppelganger will fare.
Already, the absence of an alien head and glowing blue eyes on this laptop have got us worried. But what it lacks in Alienware panache, it may well make up in performance. Expect a full review soon. -CS
