Motorola Honeycomb tablet teaser video slags off iPad and Galaxy Tab

Motorola is getting into the Christmas spirit by trash-talking the actual ten commandments, along with the Rosetta Stone, the Apple iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Oh no it di'nt!

The teaser video for Motorola's as yet unnamed tablet also shows a buzzing bee nuzzling up against the company's logo, in a nod to the fact that it will have the next version of Android, codenamed 'Honeycomb'.

Googleboss Andy Rubin showed off a prototype of the tablet earlier this month, demonstrating the update to Google Maps which dropped on Android phones recently.

Motorola has confirmed it will unveil the tablet at the CES trade show in January, but based on leaks and rumours, we're expecting it to have a 10-inch screen, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 2-megapixel camera on the front for video calls. Inside, we're looking for a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and 32GB of storage.

The tablet's Android operating system means it'll have access to apps from the Android Market and support Flash in the Web browser.

Based on the video below, we also expect it not to be made of a giant carved stone tablet, or solely support hieroglyphics.

This properly made me chuckle! Does look like its gonna be pretty slick though. Lets hope it comes without the 2012 self destruct feature though...

It will be running Android 2.5 (3.0) Honeycomb (Hence the Bee at the end) The first OS for tablets and ONLY tablets! This thing is going to be amazing!

Motorola are on such a roll at the moment with their new Android phones I can't see this being bad... Well, unless it's £600+.

Oh well, I'll stick with my Archos 101 for the time being.
