The Asus U6 is one delicious-looking laptop. It's a 12.1-inch wonder, with a style a bit like the Dell XPS M1330. It strikes a more suave pose, though, thanks to a shimmering, chocolate-brown lid and matching leather palm rest. Honestly, the thing appears completely edible.
It's not just the U6's styling that should give the Dell a run for its money. It has a super-quick Core 2 Duo chip (2.2GHz), 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Nvidia GeForce 8400M G graphics, HDMI-out and an optical drive. And we've saved the best part for last -- it only weighs 1.5kg.
The 12.1-inch screen can throw out 1,200x800 pixels and is LED backlit, so it should consume less power than similar machines. The fingerprint reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi and an integrated HSDPA datacard are the icing on this delectable cake.
Pricing is unconfirmed at present, but with looks and specs like these, it'll probably cost a fair bit. We'll keep you posted regarding release date and price, and will also have a full review for you soon.
Update: A full review of the Asus U6S is now available. -Rory Reid
