Black Friday is Mac Friday -- Apple is planning to slash iPad, iPod and Mac prices at the end of this week.
Apple will cut prices on Black Friday, a day of pre-Christmas discounts made popular by sale-crazed US bargain-hunters. Will you bag a cheap iPad or discounted Mac?
Don't hold your breath -- the actual discounts are kept secret until on the day, but last year's deals weren't exactly going to impress your bank manager. Still, if you're planning an Apple purchase anyway it's probably worth a look.
Last year's Apple deals included up to £80 off a Mac computer or £35 off an iPad. Other deals included a tenner or so off assorted iPod models. The iPhone remained resolutely full-priced, but various accessories were offered for cheapsies.
The ad on Apple's website, pictured above, hints at what's in the sale with pictures of different bits of Apple kit, including keyboards, mouses, iMacs and what appears to be an Apple TV. The iPhone isn't mentioned or pictured, sadly.
Don't forget before you head to the Apple Store to log into Quidco -- or your cashback site of choice -- to potentially squeeze a few extra quid out of your purchase. Quidco currently offers 4 per cent cashback on most Apple products. Better than a kick in the nadgers.
Amazon has been running Black Friday deals all week; right now discounts include a pedal bin, a music conductor's stand and the complete Famous Five. Or you can get £180 off a Fujifilm FinePix HS10. Lots of watches are on sale, as well as other assorted tech goodies.
Have you ever netted any solid-gold bargains on Black Friday, or is it a dreadful Americanism for over-stimulated consumers? Tell us your thoughts down in the comments or on our Facebook page.
