Dell Inspiron Mini 10 bridges the gap

After some initial trepidation, Dell's ploughing full steam ahead with its netbook division. We've already seen the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 and Inspiron Mini 12, and, as of 26 February, we'll also be getting our mitts on the Inspiron Mini 10.

The Mini 10 is Dell's first netbook to feature a 16:9, 10.1-inch display, so it should be slightly less fiddly than the Mini 9, but more portable than the Mini 12. There's no word on dimensions yet, but, according to Dell, it'll weigh 1.3kg, and have a keyboard that is 92 per cent the size of those you'd find on full-sized laptops, so typing should be a breeze.

The Mini 10 will come in a range of colours, including black, white, red, pink, blue and green. Internally, it'll feature a choice of 120GB or 160GB hard drives, 1GB of RAM, Windows Vista, and an as-yet-unnamed CPU. Later in the year, users will get the option of Ubuntu 8.04, mobile broadband or GPS modules, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive.
