Dell Latitude XT2: Laptop transforms into touchscreen tablet Image 1
Laptops

Dell has officially revealed details of the Latitude XT2, which features a clever twisty-flippy-foldy design. Your standard laptop form factor transforms into a tablet PC, complete with 12-inch touchscreen. Apple-style multitouch allows you to pinch to zoom, and scroll with two fingers.

It's a hair under 1-inch thick, at 25mm, and weighs 1.72kg, including the battery. In the chassis is a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU9400 processor with Montevina chipset, and Intel integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics card.

It comes with up to 5GB of DDR3 1,066MHz RAM and up to 120GB 5,400rpm SATA memory, or 64GB or 128GB solid-state drives. You get 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi, gigabit Ethernet and a 34mm ExpressCard slot, plus two USB ports, FireWire and Bluetooth.

We haven't heard from Dell about when there'll be a limey version of the Latitude XT2, but the yanks will be stumping up a minimum asking price of $2,399 (£1,640). Click through the photos for more transforming action.
