Photos: Lenovo IdeaPad S10 is officially gorgeous
Tags: edge, port, wi fi, chassis
We promised you more information on the Lenovo IdeaPad S9 and S10, and we weren't lying. Here are some excellent pictures courtesy of our pals over at CNET Taiwan. That's right, we're rollin' global, baby.
The following snaps are of the 10-inch S10, which is arguably the most interesting of the two devices. The specs, as you might already be aware, include a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive and Windows XP Home Edition, all wrapped upside a diminutive 1kg chassis.
The machine will be released in early October this year and will cost £319. Have a look at the pictures and try not to dribble too much, yeah? Sweet. -Rory Reid

Can't agree over the Fn key. I've got two laptops - a Taiwanese "no name" that works fine and an Acer. The Acer has Ctl then Fn, the no name has them the other way round. Never get tangled up - maybe I'm strange!
Apart from that, I agree she's a little beaudy!

i think the ctrl fn shift is like lenovos signature style. im on my lenovo right now and my dad's previous 5 lenovos (from work) have done the same. it's annoying but you get used to it in like a month.

The ctrl fn keys are in the same position on my macbook. It really is not a big deal. Very nice looking netbook.

is it white or silver/grey???.. the battery is white, but the netbook looks different..

Plein same white or silver or - as everybody alse; hey, where is that innovation flare we got used to from Lenovo designers?
Too big for a netbook?
Ok, price looks right...
Disapointed.

My Toshiba laptop (bought in Japan) has got Fn and Ctrl keys in exactly the same positions with this Lenovo, so it's not necessarily 'wrong'. As this particular machine is from Taiwan, maybe it's a bit fo Asian thing? I don't know.

you can always remap keyboard (eg. change scancode map regkey in xp) then even pry out and switch these keys

I've the Advent 4211, AKA MSI Wind , FN on left, Ctrl on the right, not a problem on your CNET reviews of either, maybe you should check before making a comment. I hadn't even noticed until I read this review!

the full size levanos have the same issue with the ctrl and fn keys being the wrong way round. i had to remove the function key so that i didnt throw my t61 out the window!
apart from that, i am a big levano fan!
