Asus to launch 10-inch Eee PC on Tuesday: Confirmed
Tags: intel, atom, eee, intel atom
We've just been on the phone to a spokesperson for Asus, who confirmed that the company will launch a 10-inch version of its popular Eee PC on Tuesday at the Computex trade show in Taiwan.
The spokesperson said that the larger-screened model should be on sale in the UK in November. No other details are confirmed at the moment, but we would be amazed if the new Eee didn't use the new Intel Atom chips, which are due for launch at the same time.
This is significant, as the lack of Atom was our one big complaint with the last-generation Eee. The processors promise to consume considerably less power than previous generations and Intel hopes they'll be used in everything from slim desktops to mobile phones.
We'll bring you the latest as it breaks on Tuesday. -Jason Jenkins

That's a picture of the Eee PC 900. We've no pics of the 10-inch Eee at the moment.

Excuse me, but 10 inch PC starts to get way out of what initial Eee was (specialy if it has windows):
A very portable, very cheap. very easy, a ton of features for the money (considering all the linux apps that come pre-instaled)...

when the first eee came out everyone started whining about putting in a 10" screen and various other features. now they did it and it's more expensive and everyone is whining about the price. the internet is retarded.
