ECS G10IL: Another wannabEee hops on the bandwagon

In the glorious race to the bottom, another contender has emerged to take on the Asus hit that is the tiny Linux-powered Eee PC. Taiwanese manufactuerer EliteGroup Computer Systems (ECS) has unveiled its G10IL ultraportable, which will feature Intel's new Atom processors and either an 8.9- or 10.2-inch screen.
Like the MSI Wind prototype Crave spied earlier this month, the ECS G10IL features an unfortunate name and a fetching design: clean and glossy and white. At first glance, it looks like some sort of mini-MacBook crossed with a Sony Vaio.
The ECS G10IL serves up three USB 2.0 ports -- count 'em, Jobsy -- Ethernet and modem jacks, WLAN and Bluetooth, and a 4-in-1 card reader. Importantly for an uber-mobile device, the G10IL provides mobile broadband -- in this case, 7.2 Mbps HSPA.
Other specs listed on the ECS site include the choice of XP or Linux, up to 2GB of RAM in the lone DIMM slot, an integrated webcam, either an SSD or spinning hard drive, and a 4- or 6-cell battery.
A release date is unknown, but Laptoping.com reports that ECS will talk pricing next month. -Matthew Elliott

Wow, if you can't build a working PC with an ECS motherboard, you're not able to build a working PC anyway.
What in the world does that have to do with mini notebooks?

The opinion of the above user on the "crappy" build of ECS is not anchored in reality. My guess is, he got one of the "value" lines of ECS hence that very dismal performance. ECS laptops are known for overheating like 2 or 3 years ago models.
Yeah it is better that we wait for the hands on review on this machine against a 9incher EEE
