Dell 3G laptops: Internet on the Alps

Laptops

The kids of today can't imagine life without TV. The kids of tomorrow won't be able to imagine life without Internet connectivity. Dell has taken another step towards a permanently connected world with its new range of laptops, which will have an integrated 3G Vodafone option. Take that, Wi-Fi!

Integrating 3G wireless connectivity into a laptop for the first time isn't merely enough for Dell though, and its mad designer freaks are using new High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA, a.k.a. 3.5G) to speed up downloads by up to four times. And thanks to the global domination of Vodafone, you'll be able to use this Internet access in the UK, France and Germany.

We'll have more on the new 3G Dell laptops later in the year, when our resident PC expert will take them to the remotest parts of the country to check his email and buy the latest Shakira track on iTunes. -GC
