Like your ride totally pimped? You'll love what landed at Crave this week: two Alienware Area 51 laptops. The engineers back at the mothership have stuffed everything you'd expect from a high-performance desktop games machine into these clamshells.

Unlike Fat Camp reprobates like the Toshiba Qosmio, the Area 51 does lard with style. There's no denying it's heavy -- but when you can play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City at speeds and resolution like this, we don't really care.

Our Area 51m 7700 is apparently the fastest laptop money can buy. But the 3.8Ghz Pentium 4 processor and GeForce 6800 graphics card are academic: when you're pumping lead into civilians at 1680 x 1050 there's no time to dwell on a spec sheet.
