Tricks with the PowerBook's motion sensor

How about Marble Madness controlled by tilting your PowerBook, or causing earthquakes in Sim City by leaving your Mac on the tumble drier?

Apple's new PowerBooks use an on-board gyroscope to detect motion and protect the hard disk if the computer drops off the edge of your desk. This sensor is so sensitive that it can tell exactly how your Mac is orientated in space. Pretty nifty, eh? San Francisco based Amit Singh definitely thought so. He's written a program that taps into the information the motion sensor sends to the hard disk and is using it to create magically self-righting windows.

With Singh's program installed, the windows on your Mac rotate as if they're pivoted -- and they always stay level with the horizon. Anyone got any other uses for the Mac's clever new sensors? -CS
