Blu-ray is a tricky beast, and Joe Public needs some help understanding it. Luckily former Blue Peter (Blu-peter?) presenter Konnie Huq is on hand to explain the technology and why it's so important that you spend your Christmas money buying a player and lots of HD movies.
The video begins with a cheeky raised eyebrow and a knowing smile, and the lovely Konnie welcomes us to the wonderful world of Blu-ray. We're then invited to come with Konnie as she explains everything we need to know about the format, but were afraid to ask.
It's clear from the video Konnie thinks it's pretty incredible stuff. Mainly because she tells us, "It's pretty incredible stuff." But also because of the look of pure excitement in her eyes as she earns this month's mortgage payment.
To be fair, she's a good choice to get men of a certain age excited about the format. And as cheesy as this video is, there are still plenty of people in the world who don't know what Blu-ray is, or how it will change their lives. That said, we're surprised it's taken as long as this for the Blu-ray association to start the promotional wheels rolling on the HD format.
