Photos: Interactive dancefloor and eco partying at Club Watt

Green Tech

Green nightclubs are like buses in one respect: you wait an age for one, and then two arrive together. Following the debut of London's energy-generating Bar Surya last month, a new Dutch club called Club Watt opens on 4 September. Billed as the world's first truly "sustainable danceclub", you can see its eye-popping interior and unique interactive dancefloor over the next seven pages.

Club Watt is based in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and aims to use 50 per cent less waste and 30 per cent less energy than a typical club. To achieve its goals, it's working to the green guidelines of a non-profit organisation known as the Sustainable Dance Club.
