Angry Birds Easter video resurrects persecuted pigs in Seasons update

Angry Birds is back with another free seasonal update for Easter, celebrating the rebirth of Jesus with a colourful, egg-filled bird-a-thon that will be launching soon for iPhone and iPad, Android, Symbian and Facebook. Developer Rovio's released a teaser trailer, which you can see at the bottom of this post.

The video shows off the imminent update, which features 15 fiendish new levels, delicious high-scoring Easter eggs andĀ pigs in adorable bunny hats. Aww, lookit their widdle faces!

The update is the latest in a slew of seasonal updates to the smash-hit mobile game -- previous periodical niceties have been themed around Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and St Patrick's Day.

It's also going to be the first Seasons update to land on Facebook. It was recently announced on the official Angry Birds Facebook page (not a patch on our own Facebook page -- excuse the shameless plug) that the game would soon be hitting the social network, and will feature "completely new aspects to it that just haven't been experienced in any other platform" according to Rovio CEO Mikael Hed.

In recent ornery ornithological news, it was revealed that you'll soon be able to sync your Angry Birds progress across all platforms, to keep your saved game identical across all your different gadgets.

Oh, and did we mention we're rebranding as Angry Birds UK?
