Photos: The future of games at GDC 09
Yesterday was the first day of the 2009 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the world's largest professionals-only game industry event. GDC is attracting thousands of programmers, artists, producers, game designers and developers.
With the recession looming over even the resilient videogames industry, this week's confab at the Moscone Center comes at an opportune time. Many game devs say the conference matters most because there's no place on Earth where they can network with more of their peers, talk about jobs with more decision makers, or reunite with more of their friends.
