In celebration of the release of Resident Evil 5, Microsoft will be offering a limited-edition version of the Xbox 360 Elite -- with a blood-red finish and a similarly crimson controller as a sidekick. No, we don't know what colour the fail lights are.

Bundled inside the box you'll find a copy of the hotly anticipated survival-horror opus, plus everything the Elite has to offer, including a 120GB hard drive, as well as code for an exclusive Resident Evil 5 theme for your dashboard. Also included as a bonus will be a voucher for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

The console's launch should coincide with Resi, which is slated for Friday 13 March. (The game will also available for PlayStation 3.) Although a UK price has yet to be confirmed, in the US it will be the same as a standard Xbox 360 Elite with two games, $399 (£280). You can find an Elite bundled with one game here in the UK for £230. In the meantime, click through for more pics of the red console.
