Zeppelin Air streams music wirelessly from iPod, iPhone and iPad

CES 2011

Bowers & Wilkins has revamped its uber-popular Zeppelin speaker, adding Apple AirPlay support so you can wirelessly stream music from your iChum of choice.

The new Zeppelin Air will let you play music wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod or iPad. You can also stream songs wirelessly from iTunes running on a PC or Mac.

If you fancy a spot of exercise, you can prise yourself from the couch, waddle over to the Zeppelin Air and slap your iPal in the dock as usual, or connect your computer up via USB. A composite output will let you play back videos running on your iMucker on your TV.

One advantage of AirPlay is that it supports streaming to multiple speakers. If you have one speaker in the living room and one speaker in the kitchen, that means your music won't be out of earshot while you trundle to the fridge for more profiteroles.

The Zeppelin Air will land in March for around £500. We'll do our damnedest to get our hands on one at CES in the Nevada desert, and find out whether B&W's claims about improved sound quality are well-founded.

In the meantime, check out the photo gallery above to see the Zeppelin Air lounging around someone's gaff.
