Video: Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision brings games to life

Those who were in Birmingham last week might have seen the Crave crew strutting their stuff at the Gadget Show Live. While we were there, we took time out to test the Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision, a system that gives your games the appearance of running in full 3D.

The main elements of the system are some rather fetching LCD shutter glasses and a USB controller, which communicate with each other via infrared. You'll also need a monitor or TV with a 120Hz frame frequency or refresh rate, plus a mid-range Nvidia GeForce graphics card (GTX 200, GeForce 8 or GeForce 9 series are all fine).

Once hooked up, simply run one of the 360 compatible games, sit back and marvel as games literally jump off the monitor in front of you. You won't be able to see the effect in our video, but take our word (and the word of Nvidia marketing guru Ben Berraondo) for it -- it's pretty impressive. Hit the play button above to learn more.
