Stand by for video from the 2008 CES!

We've jetted halfway across the world to the middle of the American desert to look at shiny new things. Yes, it's time for the Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, in tack-tastic Las Vegas.

All the big players come here every January to show off the goodies they're hoping we're going to buy over the coming year -- this time there are over 2,700 exhibitors in a space so vast it makes the Birmingham NEC look like a garden shed.

We're going to cherry-pick the very best kit at the show to feature in videos like these shot and edited on the ground, but until the show starts, you can keep yourself amused with this little taster of things to come.
