This week on Planet CNET we're talking all about the iPhone, from Japan to America, the UK to Australia. Unlike the original handset, the iPhone 3G's launch was global. But on a list of the best product launches ever seen, iPhone 3G’s might not make the final laminated print -- it wasn't the smoothest of launches ever seen in the history of consumer electronics.
In fact, in certain countries it was little short of disasterific, as we saw in our launch day video from the Apple store on Regent Street in London.
So if you're not too busy either hating the iPhone or still enjoying putting greasy fingerprints all over its glossy plastic enclosure, put your feet up and let Kara Tsuboi (for it is she) break down the global launch disasters and successes in all its semi-hilarious glory.
And of course you can check out our extended London launch video footage and the complete iPhone 3G review when you've finished. Happy times. -Nate Lanxon
