According to our beloved compadres at ZDNet UK, the Pirate Party UK, which is dedicated to technology and copyright-law reform, has become an official political party, having been registered with the Electoral Commission on Tuesday. The party intends to list candidates at the next general election, campaigning for an exemption from copyright law for non-commercial file-sharing, and freedom from excessive electronic surveillance.
