Photos: The wizardry of pinball machines

Located on the island city of Alameda in the San Francisco Bay, Lucky Ju Ju is a place where magic, karma, zeitgeist and skill are infused into a collection of vintage pinball machines for all to enjoy. Lucky Ju Ju is a nonprofit pinball museum and art gallery under the umbrella of the Neptune Beach Amusement Museum.

In the museum's setting, interactive machines provide a vehicle for hands-on learning of basic scientific properties like magnetism, physics and electricity. As early examples of the growing interactivity between humans and machines, pinball exists at a point of convergence of art, science, engineering and gaming.
