Photos: The evolution of gadgets at IFA

At IFA, the annual gadget gala taking place this week in Berlin, the world's consumer electronics companies are showcasing their latest gizmos.

These historic photos provide a nostalgic reminder of how quickly tech becomes obsolete. Even the so-called booth babes have evolved.

IFA dates back to 1926, but this retrospective begins in the 1970s, when the show became an international affair, rather than a strictly German one. That was also around the time that colour TVs started to become more prevalent.

Here's a photo of ladies welcoming attendees to IFA in Berlin in 1973. Note the show logo, which is still used today. Wunderbar!
