As part of his Radiology Art project, New York-based medical student Satre Stuelke has placed a variety of gadgets inside an old four-slice CT scanner, peeling back their surfaces and giving a glimpse of their inner workings.
Stuelke processes the images with OsiriX software on an iMac, as well as in Adobe Photoshop. Colours are determined by the density of the materials in the scanned object.
Stuelke told The New York Times that this iPhone "still works fine after [a] hefty dose of radiation".
