Crave Live: Opel Segway car for the Flextremely lazy

You've heard the rumours, you may have even seen the pictures, but today, you can see actual video footage of the Opel Flextreme concept. This, ladies and geeks, is one of the prettiest hybrid cars in the world -- and it's the first to come with built-in Segways.

Yes, you read that correctly. In the future, you'll be able to leave your house on the back of a Segway, trundle over to your car, fold it up, stick it in the special luggage compartment underneath, drive to work, hop back on your Segway, enter the lift, and trundle straight to your desk. You'll never have to walk anywhere again!

As notorious lazybones, we're already sold, but here are some other noteworthy stats: suicide doors, an electric engine with a 65km range, 1.6-litre backup turbodiesel engine, stealth door handles, and rear doors that look like they came off a mechanical ladybird. Rival manufacturers, are you watching?

Sadly, this is just a concept, but we're thinking of starting a petition for Segways to be included on every car. Who's with us? -Rory Reid
