We're tanned, rested and ready to go with another episode of Planet CNET, travelling around the world for the latest in tech and gadget news, all with a super summer look. Okay, it's just Kara Tsuboi (for it is she) with a new bob, but that doesn't mean we're not all hot and bothered over the latest international goodies.

Diving right in is Louise Ghegan from CNET France with her report on Google Street View coming to Europe. We've had recent dispatches from intrepid citizens here at Crave, letting us know where to hide our faces as the Street View team traverses London, but it's all systems go in France. Never to be outdone in raising protestations, the French are facing similar privacy issues to the ones that irked the US.

In Singapore, CNET Asia's Damian Koh has a report that's more than meets the Eye. It's the Singapore Flyer, a giant observation wheel similar to the London-based ride, but at 165m, it overshadows the Millennium-born behemoth by 30m. Plus, it has its own tropical rainforest and open-air theatre. Beat that, County Hall.

Finally, despite some continuity issues, Kara Tsuboi takes us around Obscura Digital, the San Francisco-based company famous for projection domes and decorating New York buildings with video projections for the launch of iGoogle. The company's touch-based technology reminds us of the Hitachi StarBoard we saw at CES.

Stay tuned next week for gadget news and more summer styling than you can shake a Victoria Beckham at. -Shannon Doubleday
