As you can see, the ribbon cables were what was tying the circuit board and LCD to the battery mount. Access to a couple of ribbon cable gates could have saved the nano from the junk heap.

Managed to remove and reconnect the screen but could not remove without breaking the touch pad ribbon or hold switch ribbon cable
So I wonder how they make them ???
