Sony PFR-V1 headphones: Sound great, look 'special'

Once again, the bass port, but this time from an artier angle, since these are rather arty headphones.

These headphones are amazing, the width of the sound-stage they produce is far wider than any other open headphone I have listened to. The quality and details is definitely there and they compete well in the £200 market; even if they are not as "flexible" (ie: you can only real use these in your own home... when no one else is around).
I'm interested to see if Sony will continue to develop this design.
ps: I find them really comfy; once you get around the "probes in my ear" feel.

Why would anyone ever get these when for that money you can get your hands on a pair of Shure SE530s and not look like quite so much of a mupit.
